Delete your account
You can delete your HopeCore account, together with all your data, at any time. This cannot be undone.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open HopeCore: Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm your decision: the app asks you to type a confirmation word.
Your account is deleted right away.
Can’t access the app?
Email privacy@hopecore.link from the address your account is registered with, with the subject “Account deletion” and your username. We will verify that the account is yours and delete it within 30 days (usually much sooner).
What is deleted
- your profile: username (it becomes available again), name, photo, bio, language;
- all your posts with their videos, photos and thumbnails;
- your sounds and their files;
- your comments, likes and notifications;
- all your chats with their messages (they disappear for the other participants too);
- your name from other people’s friends and blocked lists;
- your email address, two-step verification data and the account itself.
What may remain briefly
- Backups held by infrastructure providers, for a limited time until they roll over under the providers’ policies.
- Records the law requires us to keep, for example if content was the subject of a report to law enforcement.
- Copies of your content saved by other people (screenshots, sharing outside the app): these are beyond our control.
Just need a break? You can sign out or uninstall the app: your data stays and you can come back. Deletion, on the other hand, is permanent.
